Company Overview
In January 2000, Glaxo Wellcome plc merged with SmithKline Beecham plc to form GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) plc., a global biopharma company. In July 2022, GSK Group separated its Consumer Healthcare business from the GSK Group to form Haleon plc, an independent consumer health company. The Consumer Healthcare business was a joint venture between GSK and Pfizer Inc., with GSK holding a majority controlling interest of 68% and Pfizer holding 32%. Following the demerger, GSK focuses solely on biopharmaceuticals, prioritizing investment toward the development of innovative vaccines and specialty medicines.
The company operates in more than 80 countries and sells its products in 122 countries.
