The company offers flu detection kits through the diagnostics segment through a subsidiary called Cepheid. The Life Sciences business segment provides a wide range of tools, supplies, services, and software that clients mainly use to research genomics and the fundamental components of life, such as proteins, metabolites, DNA RNA, and cells, to comprehend the origins of illness, find novel treatments and test and produce novel medications, vaccines, and gene editing technologies.

The Company's R&D, manufacturing, sales, distribution, service, and administrative facilities are in over 60 countries. The Company's end users include the core laboratory, hospital laboratory, integrated delivery network, reference laboratory, and specialty laboratories.

Sales in 2023 for the diagnostics business segment by geographic destination (as a percentage of total 2023 sales) were: North America, 47%; Western Europe, 16%; other developed markets, 5%; and high-growth markets, 32%.
