Company Overview
Founded in 2010, Xiaomi manufactures and markets mobile phones. The company offers various Android-based phones under its Mi brand, including Redmi, a MIUI ROM and a customizable ROM. Xiaomi owns MiTalk, a messaging application. It also manufactures and sells MiBox, a set-top box, as well as MiPads. The company also sells accessories, including Mi power banks, as well as lifestyle items, headphones, bundles, protective cases, back covers and bands in jewelry design. Xiaomi sells its products online in China and internationally through its online and third-party online stores. In 2016, the company sold more than 100 million handsets, and products were launched in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Indonesia and Brazil. Xiaomi is striving to capture a maximum share, and the company is expanding its footprint across geographies with a mission to become a global brand. Xiaomi’s most popular products include Mi Max 2, Mi 5, Mi Note 2. Mi MIX, Redmi 4A, Mi TV, Mi Band 2 and Mi Smart Home gadgets.
