Qorvo Inc. (formerly known as Tri Quint Semiconductor Inc.) is a supplier of modules, components and foundry services to communications companies. The company sells a range of radio frequency, analog and mixed signal integrated circuits and acoustic filter products that address four primary end markets: wireless handsets, broadband communications, wireless base stations and military systems. Its products are designed on various wafer substrates, including compound semiconductor materials, such as gallium arsenide (GaAs) and piezoelectric crystals. The company offers the industry’s largest selection of GaAs foundry processes and comprehensive support services. Its solutions, built with the industry’s largest in-house technology portfolio, enable quicker design turns, higher performance and a smaller bill of materials. The company uses a variety of process technologies using GaAs substrates, including hetero-junction bipolar transistors and pseudo-morphic high electron mobility transistors. Using various other substrates, it also manufactures surface acoustic wave and bulk acoustic wave products. Its customers include Ericsson Networks, Kyocera Corp., LG Electronics, Motorola Inc., Nokia Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., Raytheon Co. and Royal Philips.
