Founded in 1979, Optex Co., Ltd. is engaged in the production and sale of various sensors for the fields of security, automatic doors, factory automation, measuring instruments, transportation and LED light control systems.

Optex Co., Ltd. offers burglar alarms, such as outdoor and indoor detectors; perimeter protection products, including laser scan detectors, medium- and long-range PIR and infrared photoelectric beams for video surveillance applications; automatic door sensors and shutter sensors; factory automation sensors, including image sensors, laser displacement sensors, fiber sensors and amplifier built-in sensors.; temperature measuring instruments consisting of portable non-contact thermometers, fixed-mount non-contact thermometers.; and water quality measuring instruments consisting of transparency monitoring sensors, portable transparency monitoring sensors, turbidity checkers and SS checkers.

Optex Co., Ltd. also provides transportation safety products; store management systems; access control systems; LED light control systems, including controllers, floodlight-type LED for parking facilities, multipurpose floodlight type LED and various types of sensors; parking area management systems, including car traffic control sensors, safety sensors for automatic gates and car counting sensors; and 3D range image cameras. It has operations primarily in Japan, the rest of the APAC region, North America and Europe.
