Through its joint venture with Walmart, ClarusONE Sourcing Services LLP (“ClarusONE”), it also sources generic pharmaceuticals.
Regardless of insurance coverage, its Prescription Technology Solutions business connects pharmacies, healthcare providers, payers, and biopharmaceutical firms to deliver medication access and adherence solutions that assist patients from initial prescription fill to ongoing therapy.
Its Medical-Surgical Solutions division provides healthcare providers across the range of alternate sites with medical supply distribution, logistics, biomedical maintenance, and other services. Among its clients are doctor’s offices, operating rooms, post-acute care institutions, hospital reference labs, and home health organizations. To support its main target end-markets, such as primary care, extended care, government, and other markets, it collaborates with manufacturers and channel partners. It sells infusion pumps, laboratory equipment, medications, and medical surgical supplies like gloves, needles, syringes, and wound care items.
In 11 European countries where it owns, partners with, or franchises retail pharmacies, its International sector offers distribution and services to wholesale, institutional, and retail customers through its two businesses, Pharmaceutical Distribution, and Retail Pharmacy.
Revenues for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022, at Medical-Surgical Solutions climbed 15% over the preceding year, primarily in its primary care segment, due to increases in patient care visits. The contribution from the kitting and delivery of supplemental supplies for COVID-19 vaccines had a positive effect on this segment’s revenues as well.
