The Liquid Biopsies and Imaging for Improved Cancer Care initiative is being funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovative Framework program. This is a four-year project (2018-2022) to increase the accuracy of both the genetic and functional characterization of primary breast and rectal cancer.
The project is evaluating technologies for analyzing CTC DNA from Agena Bioscience, DiaDx and Stilla Technologies; Angle’s Parsortix system for CTC isolation; and instruments for single CTC detection and selection by ALS Automated Lab Solutions. Royal Philips provides advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) tools.
