Janssen Pharmaceuticals iwas once a leading provider of contraceptive products for women. The company offered a full line of oral contraceptives, transdermal contraceptive patches and other methods of contraception. Janssen’s contraceptive products include Ortho Evra, Ortho Micronor, Ortho-Tri-Cyclen, Ortho-Cept and others are discontinued in the market and generic version of these drugs are available.

History: Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals’ operating units were united under the Janssen name in June 2011. These companies — McNeil Pediatrics, Ortho-McNeil, Ortho Women’s Health & Urology, Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, PriCara, and Janssen (which previously focused solely on mental health) — are now an integrated group with increased capabilities to enhance resources and focus on product innovation, customer service, and organizational excellence. Janssen Pharmaceuticals is a division of the pharmaceutical giant, Johnson & Johnson.
