Endress+Hauser was founded in 1953 and is among the world’s leading providers of measurement instrumentation and automation solutions for processing technology (for chemicals, petrochemicals, food, water, sewage, paper, energy and oil and gas, among others) as well as high-quality circuit boards. Endress+Hauser is among the five largest providers of measurement instrumentation and systems for level, flow, pressure, tank level and temperature, for industrial analysis and for sampling of fluids. The company’s range of system solutions for industrial process-control technique equipment is growing rapidly.

In 1970, Endress+Hauser started its U.S. operations, initially establishing headquarters in Beverly, Mass. In Jan. 1974, U.S. operations relocated to Greenwood, Ind. With the successful introduction of level-measurement systems, flow products were added in 1985, with U.S. production beginning in 1987. This facility currently manufactures flow, level, pressure and analysis instrumentation.

From the single measurement point to the interactive measurement facility with a connection to supervisory automation systems, Endress+Hauser offers optimal solutions. Included are a wide variety of sensors to measure absolute pressure, gauge pressure and differential pressure. A variety of designs and process connections are available, accompanied by application-specific interfaces. These include capacitive, differential-pressure, hydraulic, radiometric, ultrasonic, electromechanical, conductive and other level sensors. In the area of temperature products, Endress+Hauser provides a wide range of resistance thermometers, thermocouples, displays and transmitters. These are available to meet environmental safeguard requirements. From a single measuring point to Profibus PA technology with many interactive instruments, Endress+Hauser develops and manufactures specific compact thermometers with head transmitters suitable for all areas of process industry.
