DNAnexus Inc., founded in 2009 as a spin-off of Stanford University, provides cloud-based products and services for the genomics industry.
Cloud computing provides an elastic and scalable infrastructure for computing, storage and networking. This provides an infrastructure for customers who want to manage, store and analyze their sequencing data in a user-friendly manner.
In the field of liquid biopsy, DNAexus’ cloud-based platform is used by Natera on its NIPT diagnostics tests.
DNAnexus has been leading the development of the PrecisionFDA cloud-based NGS platform for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company partnered with Deloitte to win a five-year, $20 million contract in December 2019 to run the collaborative omics environment for PrecisionFDA.
In August 2023, DNAnexus collaborated with Swiss biomedical data analysis company, BigOmics Analytics.
