Bio-Techne is a developer, manufacturer, and supplier of life science reagents, instruments, and services for research, diagnostics, and bioprocessing markets. The company manages the business in two operating segments –Protein Sciences and Diagnostics and Genomics.
The Protein Sciences segment comprises two divisions: Reagent Solutions and Analytical Solutions. The Reagent Solutions division provides specialized proteins and cell selection technologies for research use under cGMP. Key product brands include Tocris Biosciences, Novus Biologicals, and R&D Systems. Novus Biologicals offers exosome isolation and detection services.
The Diagnostics and Genomics segment has three divisions: Molecular Diagnostics, Spatial Biology, and Diagnostics Reagents. The Molecular Diagnostics division offers products and services through its Exosome Diagnostics and Asuragen brands. Bio-Techne’s Exosome Diagnostics business (ExosomeDx) develops and sells exosome-based diagnostic tests.
